FAQ’S + TERMS OF PURCHASE

  1. How do I participate in Live classes?

Look on the Noticeboard each time you log in and see what’s scheduled that week. Normally 3 classes from the Women’s Wellbeing Pathway 1,2,3.  Linda also sends Members a weekly reminder email with handy links.

Login to the site and you’ll land on the Members Homepage, where you’ll see the weekly schedule and Zoom links. You need to have Zoom (free) downloaded to your device.

**You also have access to pre recorded full length Hatha Yoga, Posture & Core Restore Yoga & The Chill Out Tent (with Restorative Yoga classes) 24/7.

  1. What if I miss a scheduled Live talk that I want to see?

The recordings of talks on peri-menopause health and wellbeing and interviews with women’s health experts are put into the Virtual Library Tent in audio or video format so you can listen any time.

  1. If I’m a beginner, where should I start?

Ideally, book in for a 1:1 session with Linda to get your bearings and receive tailored tips (in person in her studio or over Zoom). Then, join the Live Zoom Posture & Pelvic Core Restore classes on Friday mornings (camera off or on, your choice).  Linda does a Q&A at the end of each class.  Also, go to the Library Tent for training videos on foundations like Breathing, Posture and correct Core Activation.

  1. Where do I find the pelvic floor classes?

Go to the Posture & Core Restore Tent for all  recorded classes and a 6 module Beginners Pelvic Floor Restore Course. See the Homepage for Live class/workshop schedule. These classes are tailored for midlife women who need to focus on pelvic floor and core maintenance.  In the Library Tent you’ll find categories of exercises to either strengthen or release tension from the pelvic floor muscles.  You’ll also find short tailored sequences you can dip into anytime you have 10 mins free.   Lots of options – So there’s no excuse for putting off looking after your valuable real estate!

  1. I don’t have pelvic floor issues or core weakness, is there a class for me?

Join Linda for Hatha Strong, or go to the Women’s Hatha Yoga tent for bone/body/brain ‘blast’ classes that are more challenging and require a certain level of pelvic floor and deep core coordination.

If you are feeling frazzled and overwhelmed, you need a restorative, relaxing and replenishing class.  Join Linda live on Monday nights at 7.45pm, or head to the Chill Out Tent for restorative yoga and guided meditations anytime.

You can also find stronger short yoga sequences between 10-30 long mins in the Library.

  1. What happens if I dip in and out of membership?

You will lose the offer you signed up with if you stop your subscription (billed monthly). If you re-subscribe, you will be put on the latest prevailing rate.

  1. How is the membership billed?

You pay a month at a time (ahead of access) through direct debit. You fill in your card details when you first join and these are held securely through Stripe. You can unsubscribe at any time during the month via your Manage My Account tab within the membership, but will not be refunded for the remaining days of that month (you still have access though until that billing month finishes).

8. How do I cancel my membership/do you offer refunds?

Look at Manage My Account tab and you can unsubscribe from there. You’ll receive a confirmation email once you’ve unsubscribed. You will continue to have access to the site until your next payment was due, but will not be refunded for any days remaining.

9. What’s in the Library?

If you’re looking for yoga to help with a specific tension pain or weakness, head to the Library and look at the group of videos under the appropriate category, for example, if you have back pain go to the BACK category.

These little gems are also your yoga practice aids and will help to make your practice more complete.

You can also link through to 3 playlists of short yoga sequences under 10 mins, under 20 mins or under 30 mins. Scroll through and find something to suit the time you have and what you feel you need (ie, a wind down restorative sequence or energising morning sequence).

11. Can I ask specific questions about my own health?

If you come to live classes – just ask any questions at the beginning or end.  I’ll include bespoke exercises for you in class to help if I can.  Every now and again, there is a Zoom Meet Up and Q&A session where members can ask questions about technique, peri menopause symptoms etc directly.

If what you’re asking is better answered by a specialist that I link to in the Therapy Tent, then I’ll refer you to them.

12. What’s in the Therapy Tent?

In the Therapy Tent you’ll find links to recommended women’s health specialists who I know first hand are excellent at what they do. Because everyone is different, there are different types of practitioners – both conventional and alternative, to suit individual needs. As the site grows, the recommenced Therapist Tent will also grow.

13. Do you have a GDPR policy

Yes, it can be found here.

14. What do I get with membership

Live Zoom Classes from Womens Wellbeing Pathway 1,2,3 during term time.  Pre recorded Yoga classes that are changed regularly in the 3 different Yoga Tents.   In depth courses or Challenges in each of the Yoga Tents available 24/7.  Podcasts about peri-post menopause wellbeing and interviews with conventional and alternative menopause specialists.

Access to highly recommended menopause and women’s wellbeing therapists and practitioners. A Library of tailored ‘How To’ videos and Yoga practices for different needs.  Articles, blogs and podcast links. Live Q&A sessions for members during term time.

16. What will I need to practice?

You’ll need a device to view your classes on (laptop, tablet, smartphone, or linked TV). Some people like to get Bluetooth headphones to practice without disturbing family.

You will also need a yoga mat. Eventually I will sell mats in the Wellbeing Shop, but you can get them now on Amazon or most sports shops. 3mm of cushioning provides you with adequate stability and support. Try to get a ‘sticky’ mat specifically for yoga.

You can wear anything that you feel comfortable in. Generally, I recommend form-fitting and breathable, flexible clothing.

Form-fitting clothing isn’t about how you look, but rather comfort and safety. It can help you move freely and prevent you from getting caught in your clothes and possibly hurting yourself.

For classes in the Chill Out Space make sure you have a sweater and some socks to keep yourself warm.

Yoga props you may need are: a pair of blocks, a strap, a bolster, and a blanket.

If you do not have these props, you can also use thicker books instead of blocks, a belt or a scarf instead of a strap, and a firm cushion instead of a bolster. You don’t actually have to buy anything – simply get creative with what you have at home.

It’s up to you wether you practice with your own camera on or off.  The teacher is always spotlighted for everyone.
